Sporting Events
Professional football, basketball, baseball and hockey are all nearby. The Denver Broncos football team plays just 1 hour away at the Mile High Stadium in Denver. Just across I-25 from the Sports Authority Stadium is the Pepsi Center where the Denver Nuggets, (professional basketball), and the Colorado Avalanche,( professional hockey), play and many top name entertainers perform at the Pepsi Center as well. Not too far from there the Colorado Rockies, (professional baseball), play in Coors Field. The Colorado Rapids, (professional soccer), are also located in Denver.
Want sports that are closer to home? No problem! We have the Colorado Eagles hockey team that plays just 10 minutes from us in the Budwieser Event Center. There is also all the sporting events of The Colorado State Rams in Fort Collins, The University of Colorado in Boulder, and The University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Each of these top notch universities has a full schedule of athletics to choose from.
Gardens, Culture & Museums
If you are looking for natural beauty then check out the local gardens. The Gardens on Spring Creek offers beauty and events. Colorado State University offers a huge number of flowers and plants to visit and enjoy each spring.
The Fort Collins Museum & Discovery Science Center is only 10 minutes away. Looking for an art museum then check out the Fort Collins Museum of Contemporary Art. Other cultural events can be found at the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins. They have plays, symphonies, Christmas events and much more. If this wasn't enough the Budweiser Event Center is packed with all types of events from concerts to the Larimer County Fair.
And if you are looking for a wonderful dinner theater experience you can go to Midtown Arts Center or the Candle Light Dinner Theater which are only 15 to 20 minutes from Sunflower Active Adult Community.
Loveland, Colorado is internationaly known for sculptures and has one of the largest shows in the county. Scupture in the Park is a week long sculpture exhibit. But if you tour Bensen Park and the surrounding areas in Loveland you will view some the best sculptor's work.
