We enjoy our home here at Sunflower.  It is just the right size for us.  Our neighbors are also our friends.  Their diversity is so interesting.  We enjoy getting together for Saturday morning coffee at the clubhouse, lunches out and dinners out with a group of neighbors.  There is no problem of things to do here.  We can use the clubhouse, weight room, pool tables, library, and/or the hot tub.  Come join us here at Sunflower.

I have lived in Sunflower since December 2003 and love it more all the time!  It’s a fun place to live with a great community spirit.  As a single person the most important thing to me is:  being surrounded by wonderful people who share a commitment of caring about each other.  I am so glad I discovered Sunflower and am proud to call it home!

I have been working in Ft. Collins for the past few years and moved from Berthoud this summer to a retirement area in Ft. Collins.  My kids thought I had lost my ever lovin’ mind…but I had been looking at it for many years.  I am the youngest one here…but I love it.  The community has filled a need that I have had to feel connected and have a family life with others who are single, and to create a new extended family for me from my friendships.  The first day I met a woman who worked with my mom at her job when she was pregnant with me….small world!!  It was like my little angels gave me a message that I was at last safe and loved and…..home.

Life is going way too fast….and I have finally learned to stop and smell and plant the flowers and….relax and remember with fondness and love….my many blessings.

After two years of searching for the optimum retirement community we found “Sunflower”.  Quiet country living in our own home, no apartment or condo common walls, an oversized two-car garage, room for a small garden with landscaping to match our taste.  Snow removal and grass cutting provided.  Economical or upscale shopping and restaurants are only minutes away.  “Sunflower” is privately owned, not a corporate entity.  Owners are on site daily and are easily approachable.  Our decision to move here was definitely a good one.

We moved here in March of 2005 from Iowa.  In just two years we have been involved in so many activities we can’t believe it.  Everyone has been wonderful.  If you can’t find things to do here it’s your own fault.  Thanks Sunflower for being here for us.

The Sunflower Community is everything we were wanting and more in a retirement community.  We expected to meet some new neighbors, but had no idea we would meet so many and to have them become good friends is a real bonus!  It is wonderful to be able to be as active in the community as we wish to be.  The security of the neighborhood and the easy maintenance of our home and yard are perfect for us.  We are very happy to have found the Sunflower Community!!  Come and join us.

My wife and I have been living, and happily so, in Sunflower for the past two years.  Here, we have been able to comfortably simplify our lifestyle and downsize our economic picture, both without sacrificing the quality of our lives.  An added bonus is the wonderful people who live around us.  The single downside to our life here is that we didn’t find Sunflower 4 years ago.

Sunflower is “we think” the ideal community for everyone.  You can be extremely active or very uninvolved.  The activities and various offerings are many and quite varied.  The atmosphere is of safety, interested follow residents and caring management.  What more could we hope for?

We love the layout of the house, no stairs to climb.  The people we know out here are all nice, friendly folks.  We have a good time with all of them.

My wife Maggie and I moved here in November 2006, and this is the best community we have ever lived in.  The people here care about each other, and this transfers into a great way of life.

I came to Fort Collins in 1959 and have made more friends in the last 4 years than all the previous years.  What a fun and safe place to live.

My husband and I thought long and hard before making the decision to make a move to Sunflower.  We’ve had no regrets.  It’s wonderful knowing most of our neighbors and spending time with them at community events.  It’s a little like having your family for neighbors.  Sunflower is a great place to live and we feel so blessed to be a part of it.

We are so glad our family introduced us to Sunflower.  We are happy here with many kind and caring people.  Our house, especially designed for seniors, is just what we needed.  We can keep it clean without help.  There are no stairs to climb, now snow to shovel and no grass to mow so we are free to Go! Go! Go!.

Fellowship, fun, friends and fresh air are just a few words that describe Sunflower.  There is not an activity that is not thought of: between having exercise partners, card friends, the best pot luck dish or dining out, and a full sharing library.  Our neighbors cannot be beat and are there when a little help is needed.

A fun place to live.  Never a reason to be lonely.  Great neighbors.

We love our home and we love living here.  We have been here for six years, one of the first pioneers.  We love the people and the camaraderie.  We love the parties, the dances and all the activities.  We like the friendly, lovely Manager, David.

My husband and I moved here in March 2005.  We love the camaraderie of all the people who live here.  There are so many things to do if you are so inclined.  We enjoy the pot lucks, the lunches and dinners out, the pool games, the horseshoes, the card games and just about everything involved with Sunflower.

My decision to select Sunflower was as follows,

2. Appearance- the most formidable I viewed in Fort Collins and within a 40 mile radius there from

4. Site

6. Not in a flood plain
7. Availability of emergency services
8. Association with sales staff

Being a resident for the past 18 months I have enjoyed the ease of maintaining comfort within, throughout the seasonal changes, the structure is practically soundproof, utility expenses are within reason; the Community Building offers many activities.  The snow removal procedure is efficient; nighttime security is very comforting and location is in within easy traverse to shopping facilities.

The Management is of professional stature; the staff has always been willing to convey basic assistance upon request.

I am recently retired and truly enjoy living at Sunflower.  It started with the first time I came to look at the homes. The sales staff was great and the management staff the same.  I had my home built the way I wanted it so I have an oversized two-car garage for all my hobbies. The people are friendly, and the management is extremely helpful.
